If too much sun is blaring through your windows, I have three different film types that can help. Depending on your specific goal, it’s not always the most expensive option!

 

First are traditional, or dual reflective window films. As an Authorized 3M Window Films Dealer/Applicator, I love 3M’s Night Vision series. I recommend this option if you need to block a lot of heat, reduce a significant amount of glare, and if you also need daytime privacy. Dual reflective films either moderately or highly darken the room, depending on what you’re after. You should feel significantly cooler inside your office or home, and experience very little to no eye strain or squinting from too much sun light. Dual reflective films also do a great job of slowing sun damage, they’re great for fade control. These are also very economical, you get the most ‘bang for your buck’ if you need high performance, if you want to darken your interior, and if you’re on a limited budget.

 

In the photos, you can see how shiny the glass is on the outside surface which is fantastic for daytime privacy, maximum heat rejection, glare reduction and fade control. From the inside, you can see out just fine. Keep in mind that these films will not give you nighttime privacy. You will still need to close the blinds/curtains… or make sure you’re dressed appropriately.
